Brian Burstein
Over the past decade, Brian Burstein has written and produced award-winning series for AMC, History, Netflix, Nat Geo and Amazon Studios, including the Emmy award-winning "The Men Who Built America." Most recently, Brian served as head writer on Netflix's "Roman Empire: Master of Rome" and History's hit series "The Food That Built America," on which he also serves as Executive Producer.
With a focus on character-driven stories that bring history to life, Brian's past credits include AMC's "The American West," executive produced by Robert Redford, History's "The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen," executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, and Amazon Studio's "American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story."
In addition to television, Brian's short films have won awards at festivals across the country and have been licensed for distribution on mobile, web and TV. His animated short, "Special tEd," garnered recognition after being named Best TV Pilot at the California International Animation Festival and Best Dark Comedy Short at Pollygrind in Las Vegas.
